MURFREESBORO — The adventures of Pookie & Ray Ray continue. Juan Charco, 26, was thrown in the slammer after he murdered 23-year-old Devon Loritts during a car ownership dispute. The homicide transpired around 2:30 p.m. on May 15, 2024 at a 7-Eleven store in Murfreesboro, Tennessee. According to police reports, Juan and his brother used their Ford F-150 to tow a Chrysler 300 they had previously sold to Devon. Not sure if there were missed payments or what. But the Charco brothers repossessed the vehicle in Georgia and drove it to Tennessee. Devon and his brother tracked the car and pulled up at 7-Eleven in a Mercedes. The four of ’em got into an argument and a shootout ensued. Murfreesboro police spokesman Larry Flowers said the Charco brothers were “towing a Chrysler 300 and stopped at the business… there was a confrontation, and then shots were fired.” Devon was hit multiple times. He was transported to the hospital where he later died.

Devon’s brother was also shot.

He was airlifted to the hospital where he’s currently stable.

Juan was arrested and charged with second-degree murder.

He was taken to the Rutherford County Adult Detention Center.

Juan’s brother told reporters they acted in self-defense. “These guys pulled up, and one of them had a ski mask for sure,” he said. “And the other, I’m not sure if his face was covered or not, but one of them had an AR rifle and the other one had a pistol in his hand… We’ve got to get it right, and I want to let the public know what it was, because it’s burning my brother’s name and my name, as well.”

Devon (aka Vonnie Bee) was an up-and-coming rap artist in Atlanta.

He often flashed cash and wore ski masks in his videos.

Prior to getting killed, Devon’s mugshot went viral on social media.

Several women, who found him attractive, offered to bail him out of jail based on his looks alone.

Social media reaction was wild.

One commenter wrote, “Modern women have lost all their values! They bailed out a criminal because of his looks? Make it make sense.”

Another person added, “The Charco brothers are just some big fat bullies. They already was fat as hell and the black brothers are skinny. So basically, they did business with shady Mexicans. Shouldn’t do business with them anyway because most of the time they are scandalous.”
