Robots in, humans out.

SEATTLE — You can stick a fork 🍴 in Amazon employees because they’re done. According to a series of leaked documents, Amazon honcho Jeff Bezos is in the process of replacing 600,000 workers with robots as part of his stratagem to automate 75 percent of the company’s operations by 2033. The transformation will save Amazon thirty cents per item. “Nobody else has the same incentive as Amazon to find the way to automate,” MIT professor Daron Acemoglu, who won last year’s Nobel Prize in economic science, told the New York Times. “Once they work out how to do this profitably, it will spread to others, too.” He’s right. Amazon execs ain’t the only rapacious mothaf*ckas going the route of artificial intelligence. That n*gga Elon Musk is trying to convince Tesla shareholders to approbate his $1 trillion pay package that would employ a “robot army” of Optimus humanoids to run the business.

McDonald’s 🍔 and many fast food restaurants have already replaced employees with self-ordering kiosks. General Motors and other automobile manufacturers have laid off workers while using robots to handle the assembly line. Walmart uses driverless trucks to transport orders. Ditto for Aurora, Gatik, and Kodiak Robotics. Damn. Pretty soon, we’re gonna be living like the Jetsons.

Bezos is using the warehouse in Shreveport, Louisiana as a guinea pig🐷.

The spacious fulfillment center is thronged with a thousand hard-working androids who don’t need breaks and never call in sick.

Not to mention, Amazon is paying humans $34,000 a year.

Robots will only cost $3,000 annually.

The New York Times said:

Once an item there is in a package, a human barely touches it again.”

Social media reaction was wild.

One commenter wrote, “Amazon must be expecting robots to be their only customers.”

Another chimed in with, “This is greed to show disregard for humanity and human life.”

A third person added, “It’s a cold world when a company will avoid hiring people to save 30 cents per item.”

Ok, I know whatcha thinking.

If robots end up purloining human jobs, what will happen to us?

Welp, scuttlebutt has it everyone 18 and older will receive $1,000 a month — which comes to $3.2 trillion annually in welfare.

We will also receive a social credit score (à la the ‘Nosedive’ episode of Black Mirror).

Bezos predicts millions of people will be living in outer space by 2045… just like the Jetsons.

Is Amazon outta pocket for ditching humans?

Should the government intervene?

  1. about damn time. humans are inefficient and need to adapt. quit goddamn complaining about technological advancements, layoffs, lack of work, etc. use your brain to get ahead of the game!

  2. Here is an idea, don’t buy from Amazon and start buying local. These companies couldn’t care less about us.

  3. I’m still buying things from Amazon. Maybe you lazy and entitled humans should have been happy to be employed. You expect your employer to pay for everything you want? The real world doesn’t work that way!

  4. Those who take away people’s jobs will eventually have to deal with God!

  5. So, corporations are expecting, in the future, robots will be consuming all the products & services that they are selling…
