Amazon replacing 600,000 employees with humanoids

Robots are taking over/YouTube

Robots in, humans out.

SEATTLE — You can stick a fork 🍴 in Amazon employees because they’re done. According to a series of leaked documents, Amazon honcho Jeff Bezos is in the process of replacing 600,000 workers with robots as part of his stratagem to automate 75 percent of the company’s operations by 2033. The transformation will save Amazon thirty cents per item. “Nobody else has the same incentive as Amazon to find the way to automate,” MIT professor Daron Acemoglu, who won last year’s Nobel Prize in economic science, told the New York Times. “Once they work out how to do this profitably, it will spread to others, too.” He’s right. Amazon execs ain’t the only rapacious mothaf*ckas going the route of artificial intelligence. That n*gga Elon Musk is trying to convince Tesla shareholders to approbate his $1 trillion pay package that would employ a “robot army” of Optimus humanoids to run the business.

McDonald’s 🍔 and many fast food restaurants have already replaced employees with self-ordering kiosks. General Motors and other automobile manufacturers have laid off workers while using robots to handle the assembly line. Walmart uses driverless trucks to transport orders. Ditto for Aurora, Gatik, and Kodiak Robotics. Damn. Pretty soon, we’re gonna be living like the Jetsons.

Bezos is using the warehouse in Shreveport, Louisiana as a guinea pig🐷.

The spacious fulfillment center is thronged with a thousand hard-working androids who don’t need breaks and never call in sick.

Not to mention, Amazon is paying humans $34,000 a year.

Robots will only cost $3,000 annually.

The New York Times said:

Once an item there is in a package, a human barely touches it again.”

Social media reaction was wild.

One commenter wrote, “Amazon must be expecting robots to be their only customers.”

Another chimed in with, “This is greed to show disregard for humanity and human life.”

A third person added, “It’s a cold world when a company will avoid hiring people to save 30 cents per item.”

Ok, I know whatcha thinking.

If robots end up purloining human jobs, what will happen to us?

Welp, scuttlebutt has it everyone 18 and older will receive $1,000 a month — which comes to $3.2 trillion annually in welfare.

We will also receive a social credit score (à la the ‘Nosedive’ episode of Black Mirror).

Bezos predicts millions of people will be living in outer space by 2045… just like the Jetsons.

Is Amazon outta pocket for ditching humans?

Should the government intervene?

  1. How do you buy stuff if you have no money? If there are no jobs where will profits come from?

  2. Farmers are using special harvesting machines that even package the fruit and vegetables probably grains too❤

  3. Well, I’d say that’s 600,000 workers not having to put up w slave pay and working conditions, for the literal evil empire of our country. And over hellmart, that’s saying something

  4. While our tax dollars are being used as the governments slush fund to buy personal items and create unnecessary wars and protect Israhell at the cost of hundreds of thousands of innocent lives just so Rump and his family can take advantage of real-estate “bonanza” is just unfathomable! This is a bad movie I can’t seem to turn off.

  5. And we still have to pay back those student loans. But if a corporation needs a bailout, they get one financed by the taxpayers. This country is a damned fraud…

  6. This is actually a simple fix. Don’t support amazon if they not gonna have humans working there.

  7. These companies are showing us loud and clear that they don’t give a dam about nobody but themselves and their own profits

  8. Everybody stop buying from Amazon, I did 2 years ago wake up Americans

  9. @sublimetrance: If they don’t use robots, their competitors will, and sell products at 50% price, then will you as a customer, pay more to buy from Amazon just because they have human workers?

  10. I am currently in Amazon warehouse, told to sit my ass in the truck because you cannot walk on until the load is ready to pick up. Three years ago Amazon used to have guards to check drivers in now all gone. Everything going to be replace by robots. We going to beg to be a slave. There is no need for us.

  11. And they lie, they said they’re creating millions of jobs doing what the majority of the jobs are already created. We’re hitting the point in life where there’s no more innovation. The innovation is to replace humans?

  12. I have a question, if everything becomes automated, then there will be no jobs, no work, and no money for people – so who will these big companies sell their products to? Aliens? 👽😂

  13. Jeff Bezos keep laughing it up ! It will become your Downfall towards your company Amazon ! If you make Stupid ill rash decisions like Al or Robotics running your company! It will leave human with No work well also means No money to spend purchasing anything from your business Amazon ! Go ahead Jeff Bezos open Pandora’s box dangerous nothing good could come from AI or Robotics! Truth be told ! I believe it’s dangerous !

  14. I just sent this to my girlfriend as a warning any more problems with her I don’t need to go get a new girlfriend I’ll just go buy me a robotic girlfriend wow thank you technology we saved our own asses with this one

  15. I won’t buy anything from there anymore. Just cancelled my subscription

  16. When Amazon started paying their workers decent and more than most places I knew it was a setup to the AI replacing them in the near future.

  17. Engineers making AI only to take away their jobs and then cry for not having enough jobs 😂

  18. The task of retrieving items from a warehouse and placing them into boxes was never a job that humans should have been doing in the first place, so we should gladly hand it over to robots and allow humans to return to more human, creative work.

  19. Robots give Head any time any place 2, 3 or 4 times a day with no complaints.

  20. Replacing People With AI and Robots is the Stupidest Thing That They Have Been Doing!!! AI and Robots Do Not Purchase Anything!!! Who’s Going To Buy Your Shit 💩???

  21. Some of these comments is a great example of if you don’t adapt with the times then you get left behind. The people who will survive will be the people who gained more knowledge and skills to be able to thrive in this new tech age. Losers and quitters are the only ones who will fail in life and whine and complain.

  22. AI will eventually replace everyone. From doctors and surgeons to pilots , warehouse workers. Even police and tattoo artists.

  23. Robots don’t unionize, don’t take bathroom breaks, and don’t need weekends. The dream of every corporate boardroom just came true.

  24. @NordicEntrepreneur: True. But robots don’t pay income taxes or pay into social security. Working human beings do. Where will that revenue come from?
