LONDON — “Paper Planes” rapper M.I.A. (né Mathangi “Maya” Arulpragasam) had a bunch of fans until she accepted Jesus Christ as her lord and savior. Now they want nothin’ to do with her bible-reading ass. They prefer she worship Satan. “The fact that the biggest backlash in my career and life I’m facing after saying ‘Jesus is real’ is such a revelation to me,” M.I.A. tweeted. “People who control these apps rather me be a bad girl, than a good one.” The 47-year-old lyricist ruffled feathers when she told conservative swirler Candace Owens she became a “Born Again Christian” after experiencing a supernatural encounter. That’s when M.I.A. descried a “vision of Jesus Christ” that “turned her world upside down.” She’s been the target of vitriol ever since. “Basically, all of my fans might turn against me because they are all progressives who hate people that believe in Jesus Christ in this country,” she told Apple Music’s Zane Lowe in a separate interview. “Even if it costs me my career, I won’t lie. I will tell the truth, and I will tell you what’s on my mind and my heart. If I’m coming back now saying ‘Jesus is real,’ there’s a point.”

Born in England and raised via Hindu, M.I.A. grew up thinking Jesus was a “silly story.” But, thanks to her newfound faith, that’s no longer the case. “I think the only clear thing I can say is that even when I had no belief in Jesus Christ and Christianity, and even when I was 100 percent comfortable in Hinduism, it was a Christian God that turned up to save me,” she recounted.

“And I think there is truth in that.”

Still no word on if she descried a black Jesus or a white one.

Remember the Bible says if even an angel comes to you and preaches a different Gospel , let him be accursed ! Many will come saying “I’ am Christ” . Her putting thorns on head like every celebrity it a sign to show how she feels about herself! Stay in your bibles !

  22. I believe this young woman has courage. However, with that being said, the MAJORITY of “CHRISTIANS” HAVE NEVER read their Bible’s all the way thru. Or they depend on a “Pastor” or “class” 2 interpret it for them. If they actually took the time 2 read their Bibles, they wouldn’t be “Christians.” Many believe that Christ actually went to a “Monk Monastery.” They were there LONG before Christ came along. Same with the Egyptian ruins. They were on the scene LONG before Christ was. I believe that Christ was God. Do NO’T believe he “created” the earth. I don’t believe in the “trinity” & I don’t believe in the current Bible. They left out 15 books. How long did it take them 2 come up with the “Trinty?” Try CENTURY’S. They “voted” on it. What more poetic foolishness than for her to be attacked for witnessing in Jesus’ name? I know several non-Christians Jesus appeared to and none of them would deny it. Jesus is far more than even he declared. Jesus is very soft-spoken actually, compared to what he truly is. Jesus is as much a phenomenon as a person.

  37. I started to attend a weekly church service that had Jazz musicians play during the service. I honestly was more interested in the music then the sermons…..but when I would tell random people how I was going to Church they would have bizzare freakouts and give me all sorts of reasons not to go and be ashamed for going…..this actually made me look into Christianity deeper and now I’m a believer. The hatred for it comes from a spiritual place. I can see that now. They hate Christianity…..but they have a harder time hating Jesus.
