LOS ANGELES — First, R. Kelly. Then Diddy. Now this. Tyler Perry is gettin’ sued for $260 million after he allegedly clapped a white man’s cheeks against his will. Derek Dixon, one of Perry’s actors, filed the lawsuit on June 13, 2025 — claiming the Madea star sexually assaulted him multiple times the past few years. Dixon also accused Perry of creating “a coercive, sexually exploitative dynamic” while filming “The Oval” and “Ruthless.” Dixon starred as the character Dale in both. He met Perry in September 2019 while working at the opening party of Tyler Perry Studios in Atlanta, Georgia. Two months later, Perry offered Dixon a role in “Ruthless” that would “change his life.” A year later, Perry allegedly grabbed Dixon’s ass before giving him a role in “The Oval.” But, to keep the job, he was required to give Perry some derrière upon demand. “Mr. Perry made it clear to Dixon that if Dixon ignored Perry or failed to engage with the sexual innuendos, Dixon’s character would ‘die’ in the next season,” the lawsuit states.
Indeed, Dixon’s character ‘Dale’ was shot four times in the chest at the end of his first season on ‘The Oval,’ and Perry always held this over Mr. Dixon’s head, implying that ‘Dale’ would survive if Dixon kept Perry ‘happy.’”
Dixon recalled a time when Perry, 55, invited him to his home, threw him on the mattress, and busted a nut in his bussy.

Dixon was so traumatized, he visited a doctor who “indicated that Dixon exhibited severe symptoms of acute stress, insomnia, stomach issues, and dangerously low cortisol levels due to sexual harassment and assault.” He was prescribed Zoloft, an antidepressant. Matthew Boyd, Perry’s lawyer, called Dixon’s allegations a goddamn lie. It’s his contention this is blackmail.
“This is an individual who got close to Tyler Perry for what now appears to be nothing more than setting up a scam,” Boyd said.
“But Tyler will not be shaken down and we are confident these fabricated claims of harassment will fail.”
Sadly, Dixon ain’t the only thespian accusing Perry of gay misconduct.
Christian Keyes said a “powerful man” tried to f*ck him while he was inebriated.
Perry paid him hush money to eschew a lawsuit.
“You get a grown-ass man that knows you’re heterosexual and you’re sleeping off Hennessey in his guest room, because he says it’s safe,” Keyes recounted on Instagram Live.

Dixon wants a jury trial coupled with the aforementioned $260 million in damages.
