GALVESTON — When disciplining your child goes tragically wrong. A 16-year-old girl was thrown in the slammer after she murdered her mother, 34-year-old Tiamoya Moore, over a boy. Yep, mom gave parturition to her own killer. Ain’t that a bitch? The matricide transpired on September 11, 2025 at their residence in Galveston, Texas. According to reports, all hell broke loose when Tiamoya told her daughter she couldn’t hook up with her boyfriend — sparking a nasty bout of contretemps. As the argument intensified, the horny child pulled out a gun and opened fire — striking Tiamoya multiple times. “She was screaming. She was screaming. And I hear, boom, boom, boom, boom, boom,” neighbor Gracela Molina told reporters. “It was scary. I just ran.” Tiamoya was rushed to the hospital, where she died. The kid was arrested and charged with murder.
“I was questioning, like, why, why would you do this to your own mama?” said Alicia Giessinger, who was like a sister to Tiamoya.
I just can’t believe she is gone… Tia would give you the shirt off of her back. Tia loved her kids. She would do anything for her kids. She was very spiritual, very into God, changed her life around for God…”
Social media reaction was vicious. One commenter wrote, “Stop being friends with your kids.” Another chimed in with, “This is why fathers are needed in the household.” A third person added, “Lock her up. She’s a menace to society.” Alicia said she eventually found out what happened. Turns out, the kid is non compos mentis. “If a child is troubled, then a child is troubled,” Alicia bemoaned.
“You can only help them so much. You can only do so much for a child that is troubled. I was so mad at first, but, as I got to talking to people and figuring out what really happened…, mental health is real.”
Prior to committing murder, the teen trashed Tiamoya on social media.
“My mama ain’t never did nothing for me but gave me life,” she wrote.
Scuttlebutt has it Tiamoya had a history of drug and alcohol abuse.
She leaves behind 5 children.

And she cut short her mother’s time of trials and making amendments for any offenses.This is why we should always teach children about the war between Father and the enemy of our soul. Idc how it goes, you can not be “besties” with your child!!! Their brain can’t process the separation from buddy buddy to parent discipline. Allowing a lil boy to visit in her room and spend the night sometimes. At 16, ain’t no way!!! Obviously the lil girl was having S, and was feeling herself. Thinking she’s grown. My homegirl 16yo daughter killed her back in 2022 with a knife. Her daughter was sneaking out and running away with a 20-21 yo. Even caught her having S in a car! Crazy man, praying for those kids.
