HOUSTON — “If I can’t have you no one can!” Residents of Houston, Texas are in mourning after Navy senior chief recruiter Greg Hightower deleted his wife, 34-year-old Takara Glenn Hightower, before committing suicide-by-cop. The sanguinary ordeal transpired on September 22, 2022. According to reports, a battered Takara was at home filing a domestic violence complaint with a pair of Naval Criminal Investigate Service agents when Greg barged in with a gun and opened fire — killing the mother of six while she was holding their baby. “Bitch! You’re trying to get me fired!” Greg reportedly yelled. The agents returned fire, but the Ike Turner wannabe was able to escape. “The NCIS Special Agent and second NCIS Special Agent on scene returned fire on Mr. Hightower, who managed to flee and drive away,” NCIS spokesman Jeff Houston told reporters.

A hobbled Greg absconded to his momma’s crib where he lost his life in a shootout with sheriff’s deputies.

Social media reaction was wild. One commenter wrote, “You can’t say no to military veterans in a relationship. They are trained to be violent in these situations. They are pretty much crazy.” Another chimed in with, “Men are always telling us to choose better and stop chasing Pookie. This woman did it right by getting married and he was employed so apparently not a Pookie. All men are wicked.”

A third person added:

A man’s downfall is always a woman.”

Takara’s sextet of children are now living with their grandmother, Chinetha Glenn, who filed a lawsuit against the navy.

“So, they failed to remove the guns, they failed to provide protection to [Takara], and even while she had officers with her, he was allowed to access the home with his guns and came in and shot her,” said family attorney Laurie Higginbotham.

Chinetha can tell the children really miss their mother.

But, she’s doing the best she can to fill the void.

“I try to stay focused, mainly on the kids, because that keeps me going,” Chinetha bemoaned while fighting back tears.

“I know that’s hard on them because they don’t have their mom.”

Scuttlebutt has it Greg beat the sh*t 💩 outta Takara every time the sun came up.

She felt she had no choice but to report the maltreatment to his employer.

Did the navy fail Takara?

Is there more she could’ve done?

  1. I’m sorry every military man that I have dated they always was alcoholics, they look down on you and they think they are better than you

  2. Often people think the abuser was a great person, and just snapped but having been on the receiving end, usually he was always abusive but maintained an image of being a nice guy. This is who he really was.

  3. Ladies the sooner you realize no one is coming to save you! You will learn to save yourself ‼️🙏🏾

  4. Nowadays you just have to disappear when you’re ending a relationship😭😭😭

  5. The optics don’t look good got married young, their 1st born is older than their marriage, have several young children probably band aid babies, she reported him at his work place and the navy doesn’t play like that most probably she wanted to leave him after all this who wouldn’t snap!

  6. A person’s profession has absolutely nothing to do with their propensity for violence . . . Police officers have the reputation for having a high rate of domestic violence!

  7. Nothing BM do surprise me. They don’t care about their family, careers, or their own life.

  8. He put 19 years of service on the line!??! Murder the mother of his children?!?! Shame on you.

  9. What in the name of Jesus is wrong with men??

  10. INSTANT DEATH was too good for this MANIAC

LADIES if you gotta get a PROTECTIVE ORDER get a WEAPON 🔫 TOO!

  11. So this bastard was a naval counselor? Then he went on a rampage shooting her & the law?! Is this real??

  12. Wow not only did he kill such a beautiful woman but he would also try to shoot his comrade dead. I wish this beautiful woman was not killed. All those 6 children now without a mother and father. Too bad she didn’t contact the police instead of navy investigators. Navy investigators not trained in domestic situations like police are .
Several incidents. Come on now someone or someone’s definitely failed this woman he killed and the comrades he almost killed.

  13. Husband will not have any where to run in hell.🔥🔥🔥 I pray the Lord blesses her children abundantly and they have a great life.

  14. Thugs and criminals aren’t always unemployed bums. They come in all shapes of life. RIP to this lady 🤎

  15. I’m so sick and tired of law not taking DV victims seriously and do nothing to protect them. This beautiful woman should be alive and with her kids. The monster hated his wife more than loving his kids, even took his wife out while she was holding their child. RIP Takara Hightower.

  16. HE MURDERED THE MOTHER OF HIS CHILDREN BUT RAN TO HIS “MOMMY” AFTER BEING INJURED !!!!!!!!

  17. Lord she was GORGEOUS 😢 I AM SO MADDD HE GOT KILLED and can’t pay for this! This just makes me SOOO angry!!!!!!

  18. Speaking from experience , police officers, firefighters, and the military feel like they are above the law. I have watched family members call the police on firefighters and the police do nothing once they find out that person is a firefighter the same as the other aforementioned careers . By the time someone takes it seriously it’s too late. Just because you’re successful doesn’t mean you are not crazy or a monster. I think he had too much control. when she realized it,it was too late. So sorry for the children and family May she rest in peace.

  19. He had a very dark side . This just doesn’t happen overnight smh so sad . Beautiful wife and family destroyed. Fabulous income and career, kids, all down the drain smh. Wtf dude.
