MOBILE — Here’s another reason why you should never get a roommate. Quicheay Williams, 35, was thrown in the slammer after she maimed her best friend, 27-year-old Jasmine Clausell, for putting her out in the street. The mutilation transpired on February 24, 2025 at Jasmine’s residence in Mobile, Alabama. According to reports, Jasmine — a single mom — extended a helping hand when she found out Quicheay and her dog were homeless and living in a car. “So Jasmine told her, you can come stay with me for a few weeks just to get yourself together, maybe find a job and she told her, she’ll help her with whatever,” Jasmine’s mom, Sharita Fox, told reporters. Two weeks later, Jasmine told Quicheay to “get the f*ck out” and all hell broke loose. “She told Jasmine, ‘I’m not leaving. I’m not going to let you put me out of the house,’” Sharita recounted.
As Jasmine was getting her son ready for school, Quicheay placed a cup of Drano in the microwave and got it steaming hot. Then she threw it in Jasmine’s face, causing chemical burns and blindness in one eye. Her countenance is also permanently disfigured. “Jasmine said when it happened, she didn’t smell bleach or anything,” Sharita said. “[Drano] is the only thing she could think of.”
Quicheay tried to pull out a gun, but Jasmine’s grandfather snatched it away.
The vagrant was arrested and charged with first-degree assault.
Jasmine spoke to reporters from her hospital bed, saying Quicheay’s deportment became insufferable.
“It was just a lot of complaining, like her energy was just off,” Jasmine recalled.
“She was doing a lot of moping around. I still do care about her. It’s crazy, you know, cause she did me bad.”
