KANSAS CITY — Took 6 years, but they finally got her. KaShawn Nicola Roper, the Kansas City woman listed on the FBI’s ‘Top 10 Most Wanted’ list, was apprehended in High Springs, Florida around 10 a.m. on April 15, 2026 just one day after the agency offered a reward of $1 million. KaShawn, 50, Ctrl-Alt-Deleted 23-year-old Jazmyn Henrion — a mother of three — on August 23, 2020 after firing several shots into her vehicle. KaShawn was charged with second-degree murder, armed criminal action, and unlawful use of a weapon. A surveillance camera captured the shooting. Detectives also have witnesses who are willing to snitch. After 6 years of absconding, KaShawn was busted during a traffic stop after the FBI received multiple tips. The High Springs Police Department, the Alachua County Sheriff’s Office, and the U.S. Marshals Service had KaShawn’s cranium locked within the crosshairs of their high-powered rifles just in case sh*t went left.

“The High Springs Police Department commends the strong collaboration between local and federal law enforcement partners in this case,” High Springs Police Chief Antoine Sheppard told reporters. “This outcome reflects the importance of coordinated efforts, shared intelligence, and mutual trust in protecting our communities. We are especially proud of the professionalism and vigilance demonstrated by our HSPD officers during a routine traffic stop.”

Social media reaction was wild.

One commenter wrote, “Six years on the run and the million dollar reward worked in one day😁😆😜.”

Another chimed in with, “Damn, her people ratted her out for a payday.”

A third person added, “Silly rabbit🐇, they won’t pay the bounty. They never do. The minute you report her, you are now complicit in the crime and they might charge you with aiding and abetting a fugitive. If you ask about the reward before you tell them where she is, you’ll get arrested for withholding information from the police.”

Are you surprised it took 6 years to find KaShawn?

Would you snitch for $1 million?
