CORAL SPRINGS — The adventures of Pookie & Ray Ray continue. Stephen Bowen, 40, was thrown in the slammer after he Ctrl-Alt-Deleted his wife, 38-year-old Nancy Metayer-Bowen, because she sought a divorce. The uxoricide transpired on April 1, 2026 at their residence in the 800 block of NW 127th Avenue in Coral Springs, Florida. Nancy, the Vice Mayor of Coral Springs, told Stephen she was sick and tired of his bullsh*t so she’s ending the marriage. A bout of contretemps ensued. “Bitch! If I can’t have you, no one can!” Stephen reportedly yelled. As the quarrel intensified, Stephen grabbed a shotgun and opened fire — blowing Nancy to smithereens. He used a pillow to muzzle the sound. Then, he wrapped Nancy’s cadaver in a blanket and placed it in trash bags. When Nancy failed to attend a meeting, a staffer had police check her welfare. That’s when officers obtained a search warrant, entered the home and found the body. Stephen was arrested and charged with murder.

“Her Husband, Stephen Bowen, is in our custody,” Coral Springs Police Chief Brad Mock told reporters at a press conference. “There are no additional suspects at this time and there are no immediate threats to anyone in the public.” When asked why he took Nancy’s life, Stephen said he “couldn’t take it no more.” A close source said Nancy was about to run for Congress and Stephen was jealous.

Social media reaction was vicious.

One commenter wrote, “She got with a Pookie instead of picking a man on her level. Ladies, choose better.”

Another chimed in with, “So many women would be alive today had they stayed single.”

A third person added, “When you reach a certain level, you don’t just pick anyone.”

Nancy is Haitian.

Stephen is Jamaican.

They appeared to be the perfect couple on social media.

But, behind closed doors it was pure hell.

  19. She was on 10 boards. Had a position in politics and she wanted to run for congress. That set him off. She was such an inspiration in the Haitian community. She married a jealous Jamaican dude point blank. Marrying down can kill you. I always thought give people a chance but these stories are really telling. You got to be equally yolked. Marry people that mirror your experience.

It is my life’s mission to educate students from as early as possible about the red flags we tend to ignore and try to rationalize.

What could she have done to him to deserve such a horrible death he’s nothing but a waste man that has nothing to live for so why didn’t he take his own life instead of hers he shouldn’t even be put behind bars to eat taxpayers hard earned dollars he should be given the same treatment like what he did to her
