KANSAS CITY, Kan. — The adventures of Pookie & Ray Ray continue. The Kansas City Metropolitan Area is in mourning after Wyandotte County Sheriff’s Deputy Elijah Ming was shot dead in a shootout with Pookie. The life of duty death transpired around 3:45 p.m. on July 26, 2025. According to reports, Deputy Ming and a Kansas City, Kansas police officer were dispatched to a residence near 30th & Shawnee Drive where a domestic violence victim begged them to stand by while she packs her sh*t to leave Pookie. But, as soon as Deputy Ming (who’s black) and the officer stepped on the porch, 38-year-old Shawn Harris (a white Pookie) fired his gun through the front door — striking them multiple times. Deputy Ming and the cop were transported to the hospital. The latter survived. The former didn’t. The entire police force — SWAT team and all — eventually showed up to let their gats explode and standoff ensued. After gettin’ hit, Shawn waved the white flag and was taken into custody.
The simp received treatment for his injuries prior to gettin’ booked.
Wyandotte County District Attorney Mark Dupree has charged him with one count of capital murder, and one count of criminal possession of a weapon by a felon.
I can only shake my head. A piece of ass got Shawn locked up and Deputy Ming killed. Sheriff Daniel Soptic spoke to reporters. “Deputy Ming gave his life serving Wyandotte County and all of its residents,” he said. Wyandotte County Mayor Tyrone Garner echoed a homogeneous sentiment. “We’re going to honor the memory of our fallen deputy by standing in complete solidarity with his family and our law enforcement professionals, who continue, at this moment, to put their lives on the line every single day,” he said.
To say that [Saturday] has been the hardest day for me as the mayor of Kansas City, Kansas Unified Government is an understatement. This is truly a painful moment for Wyandotte County, and extremely painful moment for our community.”
