ROSEVILLE — Here’s another reason to keep stepparents, significant others and strange people away from your babies. Kimora Launmei Hodges, 21, was thrown in the slammer after she deleted 22-month-old Kyrie Starks while babysitting. The heinous crime transpired on June 13, 2022 in Roseville, Michigan. Kimora offered to watch Kyrie while his mother, 18-year-old Taylor Starks, was at work. But Kimora, who had kids of her own, tortured Kyrie before shoving a bar of soap down his throat. Taylor noticed something was wrong with her baby and called an ambulance. Kyrie was transported to the hospital where he underwent emergency surgery. He died moments later. Doctors said Kyrie suffered from severe head trauma. He had a cracked skull and a bleeding encephalon. Kimora was arrested and charged with first-degree child abuse and felony murder.
She was found guilty by a jury in July 2025.
Now she’ll spend the rest of her miserable existence behind bars.
“I don’t have hate in my heart for you, but I really do wish you had accountability, or any love in your heart that you couldn’t have for me and my son,” Taylor told Kimora at sentencing. “Even though you might be physically free and still in jail, immensely and spiritually you will never be right again, because you won’t accept accountability for what you did. I honestly do wish you the best, because you’re going to need it more than me. You took my son from me, but you’re going to need it more than me.”
Macomb County Circuit Court Judge Diane Druzinski gave Taylor props for displaying a forgiving spirit.
“I remember pictures of your son. He was a beautiful boy,” Judge Druzinski said.
And to stand here and say that you have no hate in your heart is just remarkable to me. You’re wise beyond your years.”
What’s my take?
It’s time for women to eschew copulation and parturition until they secure something conjugal.
Taylor, a teenager, has just as much blood on her hands as Kimora for putting her baby in a f*cked up situation.
Neonates can’t defend themselves.
You can’t just leave ’em with anyone.
That’s why fathers need to work, and mothers need to keep their asses home to raise our children.
Kyrie suffered a brutal death.
This sh*t 💩 is gettin’ old.

I had a baby at 17. Completely alone too. My mom kicked me out then she found out I was pregnant at 16. Baby daddy in prison. Let me tell you what the most important thing is. Education. Now I have been an RN for 21 years and the man I ended up marrying at 23 (and had 4 more children) killed himself five years ago. Shytes tough but we push through.

She is pure evil! It is already bad enough that she harmed a child but to then not get him any medical help knowing he was dying is even more horrifying! She had to have known that they would have figured out it was abuse! So waiting and not getting him help, in my opinion, wasn’t because she thought that she could spin the story, but because she is that evil😡😡😡😡. Poor baby😭😭😭😭

My mom and dad hired a live in nanny who abused my siblings and I for years. It really messed us up. After she beat us, she would bribe us with stuffed animals so we wouldn’t tell our parents. Don’t ever hire people to take care of your kids.

She 100% meant to hurt that baby. She was jealous and pissed off that this younger girl had 2 jobs and was taking care of herself and her child while she couldn’t figure anything out except lay up under a man. She was upset the girl didn’t want her babysitting anymore because that was the only cash flow she had.

Like I always tell my two daughters, “Watch your best friends around your boyfriends/husbands, your kids, and your employers, or even You”. There are a lot of jealousy and anger your friends have towards you without you knowing and they envy your relationships with your family. They sometimes want to be in your shoes. Please don’t be complacent and naive when it comes to friends because sometimes they were raised different. Keep an eye open. Her son was such a beautiful child. Did the sitter envy that? That’s some crazy shit. What is it that child could have done to be treated that way? That’s pure evil and she doesn’t deserve to see another day light outside.
Anybody who knows me will tell you I Never left my baby with Nobody ! I didn’t start actually working until she was like 6 or 7 and i didn’t put her in school until she was 5 which was kindergarten of course, i just didn’t trust anyone, My daughter is My world, My heart would stop with out her Not even exaggerating, that’s just how i feel,

Our purpose, as mothers, is to be there for our children when they are young because they need nurturing and protection. We have one job and that is to keep our children safe. You cannot leave your child with anyone because they do not love them the way a biological parent will.

My mom always told me not to have sex until marriage and I asked her why since we weren’t religious. She said: ‘just do it and if he’s still there after 6 months we’ll talk again.’
