COLUMBUS — The adventures of Pookie & Ray Ray continue. Family and friends are in mourning after Dollar General manager Alexis Hill was Ctrl-Alt-Deleted over a pack of hamburger buns🍔. Can’t make this sh*t up. The fatality transpired around 10:45 a.m. on June 23, 2026 at the ghetto discount store on Victory Drive in Columbus, Georgia. According to reports, Alexis — a mother of three boys — was workin’ the register when Jerome Willis, 33, came to the counter with a pack of hamburger buns. She rung up a total of $1.58 and Jerome handed her a pair of crumpled $1 bills. As Alexis, 44, attempted to put the cash 💰 in the drawer, Jerome pulled out a gun and opened fire — killing her instantly. Then he fled to a nearby business. As police closed in to bust his black ass, Jerome fired at them too — igniting a gunfight. The zombie was killed shortly thereafter.

A cop and a K-9 🐶 were injured in the shootout. But they’re expected to make a full recovery. Social media reaction was vicious. One commenter wrote, “I swear… when they have nothing to lose, they assume you have nothing to lose either. I hate these damn thugs.” Another chimed in with, “Over some hamburger buns that cost $1.58? C’mon, mayne! That makes absolutely no sense at all.”

A third person added:

Definitely more to it… sounds like she was setup for whatever reason.”

Those who knew Alexis said she was one helluva employee.

Babygirl clocked in on time and always had a smile on her countenance.

“She’d make you laugh,” recalled a close friend.

“She loved that job. She worked her entire butt off for that job.”

Investigators said Jerome was fresh outta prison when he took Alexis’ life.

Scuttlebutt has it he became pissed when she complained about the wrinkled-up cash he gave her.

  21. I worked PT for them. Security for staff was unsafe. I bet she was working alone that day. No employee should be at a job alone for safety reason. Many questions are unanswered.
    What is DG doing for this family? As a store manager she probably worked 50-60 hours per week. For 30-45 k pr year. They’ve put stores in unsafe locations with low outdoor security lighting . This is unsafe for their customers and employees.
    He was in prison with more privileges and she was free to live her life and make a difference and he took that away. 😢
